Did You Know? There is a process to register mobility devices with the police, similar to registering bicycles. It is free and assists police in returning registered items to the owner, if stolen. 1.In preparation, gather the following information: •Make, model, and serial number of the device •Photos of device – front, back, sides •Invoice. If this is unavailable, estimate the cost. 2.Go to https://project529.com/garage/organizations/oceansidercmp/landing . Create an account, and register your device, uploading the information you have gathered above. 3.Print out the completed registration form. 4.Take that print out to the Qualicum Beach Community Safety Volunteer Office. It is generally open Tues-Fri 9am to 2pm, but it is wise to call ahead (250-752-2949) to ensure someone will be in the office. They will give you the Registration Number and decal for your device. If you are not able to get to the office, you could call and ask to email a copy of your registration certificate and receive the decal by mail. 5.Once home, go back into Garage 529 to enter the registration number, and put the decal on your device.
